Week 8A: Alternate Blog

In addition to Facebook, LCF has an Instagram and a YouTube channel.   The Instagram has 339 followers and 964 users following.  We do weekly posts and several live videos a week.  I pay attention to the insights that measure engagement and try to post at the most popular times in which our followers respond.  The hashtags LCF uses include #livemusic, #musicislife, #love, #zodiacs, #psychedelicrock #socal.  We also use location hashtags for shows and other posts, which change depending on where we are.  

We don't have any followers on YouTube but the page is set up through Google Plus.  We have a gmail account and profile as well.  The plan is to post a well made music video as the first post, so we haven't released anything on YouTube for this reason.  Once the video is posted, we will use google ads and social media to promote it.  I also want to have more Instagram followers before a YouTube post, so we can direct a larger number of followers to engage with the YouTube channel.  

SnapChat will be a social media platform used at a future point to connect with fans.  At this stage of the band, SnapChat is not a useful tool until there's more of a fan base.
