Week 9A - Twitter
I used music business oriented words to find new connections. I searched for "producers" and found several accounts to connect with, like the "producers guild" which is a group of established producers who share new ideas and information. I also searched for "new music" and found several popular online music stations like "IHeart Radio" which connects fans with new music. From there I was able to add several connections in the music industry, including well known artists like Ariana Grande. I also added venues in the area in order to connect for possible bookings and tours.
I created two lists, one I named "Zodiacs," and the other titled "Industry Friends." Zodiacs refer to the fans of our music, a group of cosmic minded individuals who groove to our message of love and unity. As we gain this niche of followers who are into our music and message, we can add them to this list and connect with them for future shows and merch sales. The other list of Industry Friends will help organize our business contacts and industry connections. This way, we can keep track of important figures, groups, and production companies that will help our music get out through the right channels.
I believe our fans will mostly see tweets in the mornings and afternoons, right before and after work and school hours. Our own tweets and engagements with other posts will be most effective when our followers are logging on to check their updates, which will be in their free time. This will benefit us when we post music clips or future show dates, because our fans will have time to check out those updates and respond.
